We aim to educate and consciountise the public on government and non-government policies and create avenues for public participation on policies at all levels. .
Our objective is to address the concerns of the citizens through advocacies and to organize and carry out various activities through:
1. Radio/Television Talk-shows, Documentaries and paid Advertisements.
2. Syndicated newspaper columns.
3. Seminars and Workshops
4. Documenting and showcasing the activities of government and other non-governmental organizations.
5. Networking with other NGOs and CBOs.
PSI came into existence in 2003 but commenced full operations and activities in October 2005.
It is an organization that collaborates and networks with other NGOs & CBOs, for the realization of its goal. So far PSI has carried out several activities in conjunction with the Coalition of NGOs in Sokoto State (CONSS) and other collaborating partners such as the Society for Family Health (SFH), United Nations Population Fund Activities (UNFPA), Nigeria Network of Youths on HIV and AIDS (NYNETHA),
Such activities include, the marking of international days (World AIDS Day, Children Day, World Food Day etc).
