This is a project funded by VSO and Ireland Aid. The main aim of the community resource centre is to provide accurate information on HIV & AIDS to the young people in Sokoto. It is the first centre of its kind in Sokoto. The coalition has implemented this project locally with the support of VSO and Ireland Aid. Other international agencies have also supported this center such as United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Society for Family Health (SFH), United Nations for Population Fund (UNFPA). At the local level, the Ministry of Women Affairs has been very supportive - providing the space required for this centre - free of charge.
The centre was officially opened on 17th May 2005 by Hajia Zainab Sani, Director of Administration, representing the Commissioner of Women Affairs. There is a photo gallery of the Launch.

The center is currently offering counseling services, information and educational materials and audio visual facilities for those who want to get more information on HIV & AIDS from other parts of the world.
Under the funds provided by UNDP the center intends to buy more computers and install internet - to enable the young people to do more research on their own.
